Three sculptures in the Long Shadow Series

Omaha has something new to be proud of: The Omaha Public Library now has a magnificent sculptural building at 72nd and Dodge Streets, one of the busiest intersections in town. Its beautiful three-story atrium makes a welcoming space full of natural light, and amenities like conference rooms, computer software, and the tech-driven “Do Space” are drawing people in. OPL teamed up with Amplify Arts to build a collection of artworks from a broad spectrum of seventeen Omaha artists. Each piece has a conceptual relationship with some field of the library’s mission, such as children’s literature, botany, or history. My work represents mathematics through patterns and geometry. I’m deeply honored to be included in this project, between a pictorial quilt by Celeste Butler and softly sculptural clouds by Cindy Weil.
